Our story

Radio brings people together.

A growing amateur radio community grounded in friendship, technical education, experimentation, and responsible operation.

Welcome

Connecting operators through technology, friendship, and innovation.

Clinton Amateur Radio Club is dedicated to bringing radio operators together through traditional communications, modern digital technology, technical education, and innovation.

We believe amateur radio is more than talking over the airwaves. It is about building friendships, sharing knowledge, experimenting with technology, supporting emergency communications, and creating opportunities for everyone to participate.

Keep amateur radio alive, accessible, affordable, and moving forward into the future.

Shared access

Local analog repeaters

These VHF and UHF repeaters are not owned or operated by Clinton Amateur Radio Club. The club has permission to use them through shared-access arrangements, subject to the owners’ policies, availability, and FCC rules.

Separate systems: The Clinton ARC Private DMR network is not connected to these VHF or UHF repeaters. Activity on Private DMR is not retransmitted over them.

We appreciate the repeater owners and operators who make this shared access possible.

Where we are headed

Our mission & future goals

  • Expand the private DMR network and supported communication methods.
  • Improve carefully managed interoperability among DMR, AllStarLink, EchoLink, and compatible systems.
  • Develop a separate member voice, video, and text community room that does not connect to DMR or RF systems.
  • Provide technical assistance and educational resources.
  • Support responsible amateur radio experimentation and innovation.
  • Encourage friendship, cooperation, and public-service readiness.

From spark-gap transmitters to software-defined radios and worldwide digital networks, experimentation has always been at the heart of amateur radio. We intend to carry that tradition forward.
